International Neighbors and Investor Visas
Posted by admin on March 14, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Dear Friends,
The United States, with its short history and friendly neighbors, is a bit different than other countries around the world. Over the centuries neighboring countries quite often develop intense rivalries and, even today, tossing insults across borders is not uncommon. The British might say the French are arrogant and the French may say the British have no taste. Argentinians and Brazilians both can be heard saying that the other cannot really play football (how insulting!). In contrast, Americans would never want to insult our wonderful neighbors to the north. Why would we? In spite of the fact that they really really like hockey, most of us think Canadians are actually Americans anyway.*
Investor Visa
For those people with a good amount of money the “Immigrant Investor” visa, a pilot program that was just extended on March 12, is a special option. If you invest enough in starting a business in the US you can get a visa to live here. For more information speak to your immigration professional or give us a call for a referral.
We have many positions available at a wonderful mid-western water park.

Seeing Differences and Beyond; H-2B Cap Reached
Posted by admin on January 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Dear Friends,
The subway in Japan can be an exotic place, especially when you are a six year old who has spied an American: “Mommy, mommy foreigner! Foreigner!” Being seen as different was one of my least favorite things about living in Japan. Similarly, a Japanese friend told me about the sideways looks she got in Boston where she lived. Being seen as different makes you feel uncomfortable – at the very least. This coming Monday the United States celebrates Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, a person who dedicated his life fighting for the rights of those who looked different from the majority of other Americans. Therefore, it is especially fitting that, the following day, the United States celebrates as we inaugurate our first African-American President. Though people around the world will continue to stare at those who appear different, it is wonderful that the United States has proven that we can also see beyond those differences.
H-2B Cap Reached
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on January 8 that it has enough petitions to fill the H-2B cap for the second half of Fiscal Year 2009. You cannot get any more H-2B workers with start dates prior to October 1, 2009. We can still help out with J Trainees or J Interns for this period.
We have positions available in the New York area for the Spring and Summer of this year.

We’re All Together and Avoiding Two Year Residency

Volume 6, Number 36
Dear Friends,
Here in the United States, the Chief Executive Officers of “The Big Three” automotive companies, General Motors, Chrysler and Ford, are asking for government support – they need loans to stay in business, they say. Meanwhile in Varginha, in the state of Minas Gerais, 5 hours drive north of Sao Paulo, where the quiet countryside hosts cows and coffee trees beneath a calm blue sky, three hundred people lost their jobs. The local US auto plant had layoffs because of the slow car sales in the US. Although your country and mine may be different, your economy and mine may be the same – it is the world economy now.
Visa Information: From One J to Another
J visa holders can sometimes be subjected to the 2 year residency rule which requires them to return to their country for two years after a J program in the United States. But, if the J visa holder is going to be coming back to the US for a separate J program it may not be necessary for them to stay at home for those two years. For questions give us a call or speak with your immigration professional.
We just got requests for people to fill 40 positions for this coming Spring at one of America’s best water parks in the “Great Midwest.”
Hope you can experience our international togetherness this week
